Accessible Information Standard
We adhere to NHS England’s guidance on the Accessible Information Standard. This ensures people who have a disability, impairment, or sensory loss are able to get information that they can access and understand.
The Accessible Information Standard applies to all providers of NHS care or treatment and we have implemented this standard. The standard extends to individuals who have information and/or communication support needs that are related to or caused by a disability, impairment or sensory loss
The standard also applies to individuals who have a learning disability and people who have other ‘communication disabilities’. Where appropriate this standard also applies to carers and parents
